1. Cut vellum cardstock into 2" x 5˝" pieces (you'll need two of these for each votive boat)

2. Cut cardstock into 1" x 5˝" pieces (again, you'll need two for each votive boat)

3. Glue one piece of colored cardstock to the bottom of each piece of vellum.

4. Stamp and embellish the vellum part of each votive boat

5. Punch hole(s) in each side of the votive boat (as shown) and tie ribbon to hold them together (the ribbon I used was 12", which is more than enough).  Lacing these like shoelaces also looks good

6. Put the votive boat around a glass votive holder.  Put a votive or tealight in the holder and light.
